Looking After Our Local Footpaths

Updated: Sep 28, 2023

Griffydam is criss-crossed by numerous footpaths, used by local people. Some of them are in a bad state, with blockages, missing stiles, and so on. There is a particular problem with the Cunneries footpath (not shown on the map), which is used a lot, though it’s not an official right of way.

Our public footpaths need to be kept to a good standard for both locals and ramblers from further afield to enjoy. If you find a problem with a path, you can report it to the council at leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cycling-and-walking/where-to-walk-in-leicestershire (follow the link to “Report a problem") or email us at: info.griffydam@gmail.com

If you would like to be part of a group monitoring local paths, let us know (e-mail as above).
